Requirements for Admission

Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine welcomes applicants for admission who have completed a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale is also required; and basic computer literacy is desirable.

Provisional Admission

Provisional admission on a case-by-case basis may be granted to a candidate who does not meet one or more of the College’s minimum standards for admission but has successfully completed a minimum of 60 semester hours or the equivalent in quarter credit hours at a regionally accredited institution of higher education.

A candidate may be considered by the Admissions Committee and admitted provisionally based upon the Committee’s determination that the applicant demonstrates a suitability for graduate-level study of acupuncture and Oriental medicine, and has successfully completed a minimum of 60 semester hours or the equivalent in quarter credit hours in a regionally accredited institution of higher education prior to consideration for provisional admission. As a condition of Provisional Admission, the candidate may be asked to submit to a personal interview with representatives of the College and/or to enroll in and pass, with a grade of “C” or better, one or more courses at an accredited college during the candidate’s first year of enrollment in the program.
