Acudetox utilizes five point locations on the ear to treat chemical addiction and substance abuse. The protocol was developed in the 1970s at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx, New York.

Overview

The Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine is pleased to offer an acudetox specialist training program as professional development for licensed professionals in the fields of health care and social work. Acudetox is an acupuncture-based protocol used to treat alcoholism, substance abuse and chemical dependency. The treatment works by releasing naturally occurring chemicals in the body that ease the symptoms of withdrawal and help fight addiction.

The 70-hour program consists of 30 online instructional hours and 40 hours of hands-on clinical training. The College is the only acupuncture school with an acudetox specialist training program approved by the Texas Medical Board. Upon completion of our program, individuals will be eligible for certification through the Medical Board for a fee of $52.
